To ensure that your account cannot be easily compromised by someone guessing passwords to your hosting account you can setup two factor authentication.
- To do this you will need to download Authy on your Cellphone.
- Login to DirectAdmin on your computer
- Navigate to "Advanced Features Menu'
- Click Two Step Authentication
- Click Generate Secret - which shows a QR code
- Open Authy & choose settings (3 dots) >> Add account
- Click "Scan QR Code" button in Authy
- In DirectAdmin - Type the password shown in Authy into the textbox labeled "test your phone's code"
- Click test code
- If it succeeds select "Require valid Two-Step Authentication Code to login to this account."
- Click Save.
NB: Click the scratch codes tab to generate some codes you can use to login if you don't have your phone, or something goes wrong. You can print these out and store them in a safe place. These codes can only be used once each.
