Here are a few things you can check if you're unable to connect:
Out of Data?
It could be that you're out data. This will make it impossible to connect.
APN Settings are incorrect.
Your APN settings on your Mobile broadband should be set to yourmobile.
If you're recently reset your mobile modem or reinstalled a mobile dongle this could be the problem
Signal?
Also check that you're mobile router shows signal. If you're moving about often you may be outside of the network range.
