Office 365, Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010
So you're seeing a message "server not found' when you open Outlook. Here's what you need to check:
Are you connected to the Internet?
Often this error points to the fact that you are not connect to the internet. Hence Outlook can't find the email server.
Open your Internet Browser and search something on the internet to confirm your internet connection is up.
Restart your computer
Now retry sending or receiving email from Outlook. If you can login now you're problem has been resolved by a computer restart. Your Outlook's Send & receive will probably work now.
Can you receive email on your Cellphone over cellular internet?
Open your email on your cellphone or connect to webmail from your cellphone.
You should ensure that your WIFI is turned off for this step.
Go to http://www.atservice.co.za/webmail & login with your email address and password.
If you can open email from your cellphone over a cellular connection (different connection to what your computer is using) please create a support ticket in the client area with the subject "blocked ip?". Add your Computer's public IP address. You can find your Public Ip address by typing WHATSMYIP into google.
You will see a number like this: 170.123.111.0
Can you login to Webmail?
Go to http://www.atservice.co.za/webmail & login with your email address and password.
If you can login to webmail on any device - you've established that the email server is up. If the step above did not work - the problem is most likely a the configuration of Outlook or an error in your Windows network settings which is unrelated to the email server. You should troubleshoot approach a tech to assist you with this issue.
