My DirectAdmin login does not seem to work

Your IP may be blocked:- have a look if you spot these common symptoms

  • The login screen just reloads with my login details without displaying an error
  • Can't login to any of my websites
  • Can't login to my email
  • Can receive email on my cellphone if it's not connected to wifi
  • Can login to DirectAdmin using another Internet Connection

How to solve this:

It sounds like your IP my be blocked. This may be due to several logins with the wrong password. The usual culprit is an email client that has the wrong password and tries to login several times.

  1. Open a ticket stating what you see & that you think your IP may be blocked.
    1. Include your Public IP address in the ticket (ensures you get a meaningful response from us instead of us asking for your Public IP).
    2. Type WHATSMYIP in google to get your current public IP address.
    3. We check if your IP has been blocked and can help you unblock it.
  2. Solve the reason this happens (or you may be blocked again)
    1. Often the reason for a blocked IP address is a computer or cellphone that uses an incorrect password and tries to login to your email several times
    2. Check for virus infection - you may have an infected computer that is trying to login to your email account or something similar.
    3. Ask other people that use email on your domain if they have typed their password incorrectly.

If none of these issues seem to apply open a support ticket with as much detail as possible and we'll look into it.
